Item no. 24074
Collection: Private

Cartoon by Fred Wright (1907-1984), the leading left-labor columnist from the 1940s through the 1970s, whose work was featured in the UE News, publication of the United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America (UERMWA) and dealt with both labor and social issues.  This cartoon shows Big Business putting the worker "through the wringer" marked "Speed-up" and "Automation" in order to squeeze record profits out of the hides of its workers.
